As we embark on a strategic continuous improvement journey, the role of Projects and Continuous Improvement Global will be pivotal in leading strategic projects and driving improvement to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at McCain Foods.
Reporting to the Food Safety and Quality Director of Systems and Compliance, the successful candidate ensures strategic projects are identified, managed, and executed to drive superior performance and value creation across the food safety and quality organization. The role serves as the functional project lead for strategic business projects such as network moves or new builds. The role works in close partnership with operations and cross-functional partners to ensure effective deployment and ongoing compliance to McCain Driving Impact (MDI) programs. This position also leads the Global FSQ team's Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring initiatives and helps in drive improvement through Advance Problem Solving processes.
This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on work and requires the ability to manage complex global projects with cross-departmental and functional teams. What you'll be doing.
- Regional MDI Owner for FSQ Function: Deploying and verifying FSQ expectations at each phase (Foundations, Stabilization, Acceleration & Sustainability).
- Cross functional/departmental MDI playbook development leadership.
- Leads the ongoing Global FSQ KPI review calls. Ensures trends are investigated, root cause analysis is completed, and projects are in place to improve performance.
- Manages the portfolio of continuous improvement projects for the Global FSQ function (KPI improvement projects, complaint reduction workstreams/projects, value savings)
- Manages governance processes of key programs and systems to ensure alignment and compliance globally.
- Root cause analysis / advanced problem-solving facilitator.
- Continuous Improvement / KPI Improvement project leader (complaint reduction, quality/food safety incident improvements, non-conforming product reduction).
- Develop the Cost of Non-Conformance Program: Create program and tracking; identify value savings projects (hold reductions, first time quality).
- FSQ Leader for strategic global business projects: new builds, technology deployments
- Liaise with cross-departmental FSQ personnel and assist where applicable in the setting of key performance indicator targets and objectives that compliment company policies and goals.
- Effective presentation and communication skills to distill information to broad audience and senior leaders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimally holder of a bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and continuous improvement initiatives that span multiple sites or a region. Proficient use of statistical methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of root cause analysis tools to be used on mechanical, processing, quality and food safety issues. Ability to identify gaps and propose solutions.
- Must have working knowledge of food safety principles and practices, computer systems, and production processes in the food industry. Prior experience in capital projects is an asset
- Willing to travel up to 40% internationally

- In-depth industry knowledge within the context of continuous improvement and lean six sigma methodology.
- Champions and leads organizational change, with continuous improvement mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to present data in a comprehensible, easy understandable and actionable way.
- Simplicity mindset. Ability to identify and eliminate unnecessary complexity.
- Holding a Six Sigma degree is an advantage.

Compensation Package : $97,500.00 - $130,000.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
