The Global Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations of the Bath & Wellness division, especially financial planning of our legal entities, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting – including a global coordination of the financial controller network. The role ensures robust financial performance management, supports annual updates of transfer pricing / intercompany-provisions and impairment calculations together with group reporting and tax departments, and ensures compliance with Villeroy & Boch's accounting policies and relevant IFRS standards, and is also in direct contact with external auditors.
Besides global financial aspects, the role includes a direct financial responsibility across the relevant entities within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
Key Responsibilities:
Global financial controlling:
Coordinate the legal entity planning of the Bath & Wellness division (V&B and Ideal Standard) including intercompany relations and mid-term-planning.
Performs calculation of transferprices and intercompany-provisions together with the local financial controlling team and central tax department.
Establishment of documentations for year-end closing and hard-close to auditors and prepare Balance Sheet reviews, includes impairment tests for carrying amounts of our shareholding values.
Establish and develop Financial Controlling team for B&W working centrally and locally within the clusters.
Ensures correctness of our internal and external reporting: ensures data integrity and consistency across the financial systems.
Project tasks: supports S/4 HANA implementation and integration tasks of Ideal Standard.
Collaborates with different central, local and division functions to ensure financial targets are met and operational efficiencies are achieved.
Conducts ad-hoc financial analysis and supports special projects.
Financial Controlling DACH:
Performs and coordinates budgeting and forecasting processes across the relevant legal entities within the DACH region.
Support the risk management process to identify and assess financial risks.
Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting for the DACH entities.
Cost control and analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements and provide proactive recommendations to optimize financial results.
Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and support special projects.
Monitor and manage the cash flow for the DACH entities, including forecasting, and planning processes.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification could be a strong plus.
Experience:
3-5 Years experience in financial controlling, audit, or accounting roles
Skills:
Experience with SAP (FI/CO modules), experience with S/4 HANA could be a plus.
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
