Job DescriptionWe are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Global Events Lead to build, scale, and lead the global event marketing strategy for Wise Platform, B2B side of Wise.
You will own end-to-end global event operations, driving market positioning, top-of-funnel customer acquisition, pipeline generation, and category leadership across all our international markets (EMEA, NAM, and APAC). You will balance overarching global strategy and creative innovation with direct leadership of our regional Event Marketing Managers and hands-on execution for flagship experiences.
Your mission:
Build a unified, scalable global event framework and tiered playbook covering Tier 1 flagship experiences, Tier 2 executive roundtables, and Tier 3 regional sponsorships and dinners
Direct the strategy and execution for our Wise Connect flagship conference series (running 3x per year across regions) and scale our executive C-level roundtable program (Wise Circles) across APAC, EMEA, and NAM
Bring creative vision to transform our event formats, refine global operating processes, and evaluate strategic external agency partnerships to ensure our flagship experiences continuously stand out
Oversee Wise Platform’s presence at top-tier global financial industry trade shows and summits
Provide direct line management, strategic alignment, and coaching to regional Events Marketing Managers located in London, Austin, and Singapore
Oversee event budgets, high-stakes vendor negotiations, and ensure execution standards across all global markets
Collaborate with marketing and sales to design end-to-end event communications (pre/during/post-event email nurture flows, landing pages, and social teasers) that translate attendee engagement into commercial pipeline
This role will give you the opportunity to:
Manage, empower, and mentor a talented team of autonomous Event Marketing Managers across London, Austin, and Singapore
Work closely with Wise Platform executive leadership, regional commercial heads, and C-level leaders at tier-1 banks and fintech partners globally.
Take our flagship events to the next level, using creative thinking to scale memorable, high-impact experiences
Represent Wise Platform on the ground at flagship events and work directly with our regional teams across EMEA, NAM, and APAC
A bit about you:
8–10+ years of experience managing global or multi-region event programs within B2B SaaS (must have), Fintech, Payments, or Financial Software
Proven track record of designing and running owned flagship conferences (200+ attendees), C-level executive roundtables, and major third-party trade show presences
Direct line management experience leading, mentoring, and developing event marketing managers across global time zones
Ability to define high-level global strategy while staying hands-on with operational execution, logistics, and high standards
Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce or HubSpot etc.) to measure event ROI, track campaign influence, and attribute commercial pipeline
Proven experience managing large event budgets, complex global contracts, and vendor negotiations
Ability to build or guide full lifecycle event marketing comms (landing pages, email sequences, social copy) to maximise attendee acquisition and post-event lead conversion.
Excellent at balancing global alignment with regional needs, collaborating smoothly across regional leadership, commercial teams, product marketing, and PR
Nice to have:
Direct experience in cross-border payments (FX, transaction banking, embedded finance).
Prior experience marketing software solutions directly to banks or financial institutions.
Experience operating within a hybrid/remote global matrix structure
