To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Global Engineering Change Manager located in one of our location in EMEA region (UK, Poland or Ireland).
Reporting to the Senior Director – Global Engineering the Global Engineering Change Manager role involves will lead and drive engineering change projects across our global organization. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with quality and safety standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering processes and business performance.
What a typical day looks like:
- Working alongside the Global Engineering team, deliver global required engineering change projects to specification, on time, on schedule, in line with the company standards of quality and safety and to budget to maximize the profits of the company.
- Manage multiple engineering change projects taking full ownership and responsibility (Including creating KPIs and dashboards).
- Control, monitor and manage assigned engineering change projects to include regular reporting against plans/time targets & where necessary intervening to ensure a timely delivery.
- Ensure project processes & documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
- Provide concise & accurate reports with the relevant KPIs to the Senior Director of Global Engineering as and when required.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques, initiate process improvements, cycle time reductions, cost reductions and other activities aimed at reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities in the engineering processes.
- In charge of eliminating engineering process waste and creating value by reducing variation in the engineering processes to achieve sustainable results throughout the organization.
- Promote, develop, and always extend any business of the company and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience is desirable
- Requires a minimum of 4+ years of experience in an engineering industry or within change management position
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with a high standard of attention to detail.
- Must be able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurised environment and demonstrate flexibility.
- Proficient in English is a must to lead advance technical discussions with international teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
- Be technically competent with various software programs, including Microsoft Office and JIRA.
- Demonstrates skills in teaching/leading and/ mentoring.
- Provides direction to teams according to established policies and objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in managing engineering change projects in an electrical or mechanical engineering industry.
- Lean or Six Sigma experience is highly desirable
