The Role
The Global eCommerce Senior Insights Analyst translates eCommerce data into actionable insights that improve digital sales, customer experience, platform adoption, and operational performance. This role partners with Global Commerce, regional business teams, IT, Product, BI/EDAI, Finance, Marketing, and other stakeholders to establish consistent measurement practices, deliver reporting solutions, support analytics-platform launches, and enable effective use of data across regions.
What You'll Do
- Partner with business, technology, analytics, Finance, Product, Marketing, and regional teams to gather, prioritize, and document analytics requirements.
- Own and maintain the global eCommerce measurement plan, KPI definitions, reporting roadmap, analytics standards, and improvement backlog.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and executive-ready analyses for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
- Analyze traffic, engagement, conversion, orders, sales, customer behavior, product performance, and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and actions for leaders and regional teams.
- Monitor data quality, reporting accuracy, anomalies, tagging issues, and performance changes; coordinate resolution with technical and business partners.
- Support analytics-platform implementations and enhancements from requirements and solution design through testing, launch, and post-launch support.
- Coordinate tagging, data validation, dashboard configuration, reporting requirements, user access, and launch readiness.
- Train regional stakeholders on analytics tools, eCommerce metrics, dashboards, benchmarks, and performance interpretation.
- Create reusable templates, job aids, FAQs, and training materials that improve adoption and self-service capabilities.
- Serve as a primary contact for regional questions related to reporting, metrics, data quality, dashboards, and eCommerce performance.
- Lead or support projects by managing scope, milestones, risks, dependencies, status reporting, budgets, and outcomes.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, information systems, marketing, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or data-driven business operations.
- Demonstrated experience developing, interpreting, and communicating business performance insights.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and BI/reporting tools such as Cognos and Tableau, or comparable platforms.
- Strong knowledge of eCommerce, digital commerce, marketing analytics, customer experience, or a related field.
- Understanding of the automotive industry and the evolving digital commerce landscape.
- Experience defining KPIs, developing measurement frameworks, improving data quality, and documenting reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting analytics implementations, platform launches, system enhancements, or business-process changes.
- Experience working with global or geographically distributed teams.
- Strong project management, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain complex data and technical concepts to executives, business users, and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in an ambiguous environment.
What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Shopify or another enterprise eCommerce platform.
- Experience with digital or web analytics, site tagging, data layers, or customer-journey measurement
- Working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data warehouses, APIs, or analytics engineering concepts
- Experience supporting international markets, multiple currencies, localized customer journeys, or regional operating models.
- Experience developing training programs, job aids, enablement plans, or communities of practice
- Experience with Agile delivery, requirements management, user acceptance testing, change management, or process improvement.
- Experience applying AI or automation to reporting, analytics enablement, data quality, or operational support.
