“I can succeed as the Global Digital Product Director”

As the Global Digital Product Director, you will define and execute Capital Group’s global digital product vision and strategy. You will lead a global portfolio of digital client platforms and capabilities, including Capital Group’s major digital client platforms (e.g. Capital Ideas Pro and global Capital Group websites) ensuring they drive business goals and deliver exceptional customer experience.

In this role, you will oversee a large cross-regional product organization, influence enterprise level digital strategy, and collaborate with senior leaders across Distribution, Global Technology, Analytics, and other functions. You will be accountable for portfolio outcomes, global experience consistency, and building a mature, high performing product management discipline across the organization.   

This role is a core member of the leadership team supporting the Global Digital Products & Capabilities organization. 

In this role, you will have responsibility for:

  • Defining Vision and Customer Need 

    • Developing and communicating a long term global digital product vision aligned with enterprise strategy, customer insights, and market trends. 

    • Championing a data driven, customer centric approach across all global digital offerings. 

    • Owning the articulation of global customer needs, ensuring integration across regions and alignment with enterprise outcomes. 

    • Leveraging research, customer feedback, analytics, market insights, and competitive benchmarks to inform product direction. 

    • Establishing and promoting enterprise-wide product discovery and customer insight practices. 

    • Serving as thought leader in product visioning, innovation, and digital customer experience across global markets. 

  • Product Portfolio Management 

    • Overseeing the lifecycle of a broad global portfolio of digital products and capabilities. 

    • Setting portfolio level priorities, investment decisions, and roadmaps; manage tradeoffs across markets and business lines. 

    • Holding ROI accountability for portfolio performance, value delivery, and operational outcomes. 

    • Ensuring alignment between product roadmaps and enterprise strategy, regional needs, and global governance forums. 

    • Building efficiencies and synergies across global product teams and partner functions. 

  • Product Planning and Development 

    • Defining portfolio level success metrics, product goals, and release strategies, and ensuring implementation quality and alignment to product vision.

    • Driving disciplined product development practices, including agile methodologies and OKRs. 

    • Establishing frameworks for portfolio delivery, experimentation, and continuous improvement. 

    • Providing oversight on risk identification, interdependency management, and mitigation strategies across teams. 

  • Launch 

    • Overseeing global launch strategy and execution for major digital products and enhancements. 

    • Ensuring cross-regional enablement, change management, and stakeholder alignment. 

    • Tracking global product adoption, customer impact, and post launch performance, adjusting plans as needed. 

    • Championing consistent global experiences while enabling localized variations where required. 

  • Operate 

    • Monitoring global product health, performance metrics, and customer feedback, and driving ongoing improvements at scale. 

    • Leading operational excellence initiatives across digital capabilities (e.g., automation, metrics infrastructure, delivery efficiency). 

    • Ensuring global consistency in product standards, quality, and governance. 

    • Overseeing strategic vendor partnerships, long term roadmaps, and contract negotiations for digital technology and data providers.

  • You have a track record of delivering complex, high-impact digital initiatives in global or matrixed organizations.

  • You are inspiring, able to influence colleagues, leaders and stakeholders, and have a track record of success driving alignment across global and cross-functional stakeholders. 

  • You possess exceptional industry expertise and are well-versed in digital products within financial services or related industries. 

  • You a technically savvy, with deep knowledge of modern product practices, UX, data analytics, and digital experience trends. 

  • You possess a global mindset and have experience leading digital initiatives across multiple regions or markets. 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $234,276-$398,269

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
