Job Summary
The Global Demand and Supply Planner ensures accurate and timely demand forecasting and supply planning, working in conjunction with our cross-functional team to grow the business, and ensure our financial objectives. Develops global strategies, improving efficiencies, and fosters consistent methodologies to ensure alignment of processes across all customers.
Essential Functions

  • Contribute to the demand planning and supply chain planning processes for ZOLL’s global organization, from monthly planning all the way through to strategic planning. Champion planning as a competency both through the direct Planning staff and across the broader organization
  • Support the continuous improvement of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process; direct accountability for finished goods inventory within ZOLL’s global distribution centers
  • Partner with the business leadership team to understand strategic and annual business objectives in order to translate them into specific and actionable service level and inventory targets by product and region
  • Ensure processes are in place to meet fill rate expectations on a consistent basis
  • Support the function’s forward-looking forecasting, annual planning, and strategic planning activities. Understand and analyze key business drivers (market share, inventory requirements, competitive activity) and drive improvement in the forecasting process
  • Provide support to overall inventory levels across our network, ensuring our supply chain practices deliver end of period requirements
  • Contribute to the inventory reserves process on a quarterly basis
  • Partner with both internal and external manufacturers from across the globe on forward-looking needs to ensure we have capacity to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with Site Leadership to support the capacity planning of operational resources (materials/tools/equipment/people) to ensure alignment with demand, proper contingency and surge, and suitable depth of cross-trained talent
  • Partner with IT to enable global visibility and smart reporting of inventory, volume and key performance metrics and to develop and execute the supply chain technology roadmap to further leverage our ERP system capabilities. Ensures best & standardized practices are followed across all shared planning resources
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Sourcing, Manufacturing, Technical Service, Finance and IT to ensure alignment of goals and targets, efficient communication and escalation channels, and accountability for actions and performance.
  • Collaborate with Global Distribution and Logistics to ensure proper planning parameters are applied, execution is monitored and new requirements are effectively designed into our supply chain flow
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to generate new product forecasts and work with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure products are available and ready to support new product launches.
  • Partner with our international regional organizations to translate planning processes around the world
  • Collaborate with Technical Service depot leadership to ensure proper planning parameters are applied, execution is monitored and global material requirements are effectively incorporated into our supply chain flow.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Planning or a related field required
  • MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in Planning required and
  • Hands on experience working with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Distribution required
  • Prior experience working for a company whose products and processes are FDA regulated preferred
  • Hold certification through APICS, NAPM, or other supply chain programs Required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A strong understanding of the medical device industry and global supply network is critical to success
  • Must have extensive ERP systems experience and knowledge
  • Proven track record of building and managing systems and procedures in forecasting and planning
  • Strong relationship building abilities; fair in their team interactions; energetic, approachable, and friendly
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to operate in an environment with significant cross-functional collaboration
  • Confident and effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, driven to achieve goals and exceed expectations
  • Analytical problem-solving skills, with a common sense and practical solutions orientation
  • Risk Mitigation orientation, capable of leading scenario planning that yields upside, nominal and downside options
  • High energy level to thrive in a fast-paced environment
