We are seeking a talented individual to join our Cyber Data Engineering team at Marsh as Global Cyber Data Lead. This role will be based in Dublin, IE. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

 

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Data Practitioner with experience to spearhead our Cyber data environment. The ideal candidate has a passion for getting things done, has worked across complex data projects with significant ramp-up, guided and mentored data engineers, and worked directly with senior stakeholders to scope projects and ensure delivery aligned with expectations. You will mentor and guide a team of engineers, work closely with our Cyber practice leadership and the broader data organization. 

 

We will count on you to:
• Bring your years of experience as a data professional to rapidly orient yourself and develop a plan to deliver impactful data on common Marsh infrastructure (primarily Databricks) 
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable data solutions supporting layered data frameworks 
Mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement 
• Collaborate closely with business teams to rapidly develop data solutions that fit evolving requirements 
• Partner with central platform teams to implement features that enhance data operations efficiency and reliability 
• Drive adoption of DevOps/DataOps best practices, including Git version control, pipeline-driven deployments, and CI/CD workflows 
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data engineering practices 

 

What you need to have: 
• 10+ years of data leadership experience 
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with advanced scripting and automation skills 
• Extensive experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse, and cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP 
• Proven experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DataOps methodologies 
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal 
• Ability to identify and proactively solve complex data-related problems
