About this Role

We're looking for a Global Creative Director to shape the creative direction across Valerie's portfolio of e-commerce brands. This isn't a hands-on design role. You won't be creating ads, writing copy, or editing videos day-to-day. Instead, you'll define the creative direction that helps brands stand out, guide teams toward stronger ideas, and raise the quality of creative across every customer touchpoint.

You'll work closely with POD Leaders, founders, strategists, and creative teams to identify what will move a brand forward; not just creatively, but commercially. Whether it's unlocking a new creative angle, refining a brand's voice, or helping teams think beyond what's already working, you'll be the person people turn to when the answer isn't obvious.

You could be a great fit if...

  • You have strong creative opinions and can clearly explain why something will resonate with an audience.

  • You understand that great creative isn't just beautiful—it's commercially effective.

  • You naturally connect culture, consumer behaviour, and performance data to develop better creative ideas.

  • You enjoy mentoring creative teams and helping others produce their best work.

  • You know how to challenge ideas without creating friction and can inspire teams to think bigger.

  • You stay ahead of trends instead of reacting to them, and you're constantly collecting references, inspiration, and emerging formats.

  • You can look at campaign performance and identify the next creative hypothesis—not just report on what happened.

  • You're comfortable working across paid social, UGC, email, landing pages, organic content, and brand storytelling.

  • You believe the quality of the brief is just as important as the quality of the execution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Creative Direction, Creative Strategy, or Brand Leadership.

  • Significant experience working with DTC, ecommerce, or performance-driven brands.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates both creative excellence and measurable business impact.

  • Deep understanding of paid social creative, UGC strategy, brand storytelling, and lifecycle marketing.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams and collaborating with founders or senior stakeholders.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence through ideas rather than authority.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working across multiple brands or within an agency environment.

  • Experience partnering directly with founders or executive leadership.

  • A strong understanding of consumer psychology, behavioural marketing, and creative testing frameworks.

  • Experience using performance data to shape creative strategy.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies that enhance the creative process.

You probably shouldn't apply if...

  • You enjoy executing creative more than defining its direction.

  • You believe creative success should be judged purely on aesthetics rather than business impact.

  • You're uncomfortable giving direct feedback or challenging ideas when needed.

  • You prefer following established creative playbooks instead of creating new ones.

  • You aren't excited by mentoring teams or helping other creatives grow.
