As an Associate in the Innovation Economy Team within the Global Corporate Bank, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships with high-growth technology companies in Korea. You will work closely with various lines of business to deliver comprehensive banking solutions, including commercial banking, investment banking, and asset management services. Your efforts will help facilitate the growth of our clients and position JP Morgan as a trusted partner in their success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and develop relationships with Corporate Banking clients in the Innovation Economy sectors such as Internet, Digital Media, Software, Start-ups, E-Commerce, and FinTech in Korea.
- Identify new product growth areas and establish new client relationships.
- Develop forward-looking business plans for clients and maintain existing business relationships.
- Market Corporate Banking products like FX, flow derivatives, and commodities, as well as traditional products such as credit, trade finance, and treasury services.
- Facilitate account planning processes, focusing on credit capital use and firm-wide priorities.
- Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs and convert them into financial solutions.
- Collaborate with Investment Banking Technology coverage team, Venture Capital Relationships Team and Client Executives on client coverage efforts.
- Work with Credit teams on risk profiling of portfolio clients and prospects.
- Partner with Compliance and Risk teams on regulations applicable to FinTech.
- Collaborate with other Lines of Business on client coverage efforts.
- Report progress to management against tangible KPIs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Proven ability to build and develop client relationships, win new business, and close transactions.
- Solid knowledge of the Technology Industry, focusing on Innovation Economy sectors.
- Strong understanding of local regulatory guidelines applicable to the FinTech industry.
- Demonstrated credit knowledge.
- Solid knowledge of commercial banking products.
- Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Understanding of flow derivatives, FX, commodities, transaction banking, and securities processing.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Knowledge with experience debt capital markets.
