What will you be doing
- Oversee and manage the company's global accounting operations and financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
- Direct an international team of approximately 15 finance professionals—primarily based in India—and manage complex multi-entity statutory requirements across 14 global subsidiaries.
- Drive improvements in financial processes, leveraging software and AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency and insight.
- Ensure all financial transactions and reporting meet rigorous government regulations and compliance along with board, bank, and investor reporting standards.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to gather financial data and support operational objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Implement and refine accounting policies and procedures to support company growth and operational scalability.
What you bring
- Deep understanding of US GAAP.
Proficiency in ERP systems, NetSuite preferred. - Strong background in managing day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, T&E, leases, commissions, corporate card, expense policy management, month-end close, general ledger management, etc.
- Proven track record in multi-currency, multi-jurisdiction financial consolidations and local statutory reporting for global subsidiaries with strong grasp of regulatory compliance requirements for financial reporting.
- Familiarity with modern accounting technologies and workflow automation (e.g., FloQast, Concur, Tipalti)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting complex financial data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Active CPA or CMA certification required.
- Big 4 public accounting experience required.
- Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role within a growing technology or SaaS company.
- Preferred location: US East Coast or Central time zone (for optimal daily collaboration with our India-based team).
