WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As Senior Analyst, you will be working in the Global Control Room team within the Compliance Function based in HQ in Boadilla, Madrid. The Global Control Room is a second line of defense Compliance function that facilitates the proper handling of Inside Information, monitors the integrity of the Bank’s Information Barriers, and helps to identify, manage and mitigate potential transactional conflicts of interest in order to comply with laws, regulations and internal policies. The team in Madrid will primarily cover the EU and UK region but and may also assist other Control Room teams based in the US or ASIA when required.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Review and analyze Investment Banking transactions for conflicts of interest and potential Inside Information in line with relevant regulation.
Review and update the Firms Restricted List.
Review Equity Research for potential conflicts of interest.
Review transactions logged in firm systems and engage with Front Office contacts to discuss transaction status.
Review, analyze and manage Wall Crossing requests.
Periodically review and assist with Insider List enquiries.
Assist with project work and technology developments as needed.
Assist Control Room management with reporting and MI
EXPERIENCE
3 years’ experience in Financial or related sector.
EDUCATION
Finance or Legal related background is beneficial. Finance or Law Degree (Bachelors or JD equivalent) is a benefit.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
A good level of knowledge of the financial sector, markets and financial products.
A basic understanding of financial regulation (e.g. MiFID II, MAR)
Fluency or high level (C2) of English.
OTHER INFORMATION
Travel to other regions covered by the Global Control Room may also be possible.
