The ADTS (Eng/Chemist/Specialist) – Global Compliance Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring our products comply with all relevant regulations and standards, and is responsible for managing various compliance-related tasks.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Corresponding with Customers: You will be the point of contact for customers regarding regulatory and compliance inquiries. This includes addressing any questions or concerns they may have and providing accurate and timely information on product compliance.

  • Investigating and Responding to Compliance Related Complaints: In the event of compliance-related complaints or issues, you will lead the investigation process to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Managing and Overseeing Annual Certification Program: You will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the annual certification program for all brands and products. This will involve ensuring that all necessary certifications are obtained and maintained according to industry standards.

  • Researching New Country Specific Regulations: Staying up to date with the latest regulatory requirements in various countries is crucial. You will conduct thorough research on new and updated regulations to ensure ongoing compliance for our products in global markets.

  • Understanding Brand Specific Restricted Substance Lists (RSL): Familiarity with Brand Specific RSL is essential. You will work closely with chemists and other stakeholders to ensure that our products meet the restricted substance requirements set forth by various brands and organizations.

  • Advising Chemists and Manufacturing on Compliance of New Chemicals: As new chemicals are introduced to production; you will provide expert guidance to chemists and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.

  • At least 5 years of regulatory and compliance experience in the chemical industry, preferably in the context of screen-printing inks or related sectors.

  • Previous experience working with regulations, such as ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals), REACH, FDA and TSCA is required.

  • Preferred experience in the textile industry, with exposure to OEKO – TEX, Eco Passport, and/or Bluesign certifications.


Other Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of international regulatory frameworks and standards related to chemical substances and materials.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to handle compliance-related investigations and resolutions.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to adapt to changing regulatory environments and implement necessary compliance adjustments.

 

 Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
