The Role & What You Will Be Doing
We are seeking Global Commercial Data & Analytics (AI/ML) Manager with deep expertise in machine learning for supporting data science applications. In this role, you will design, prototype, and develop scalable AI and ML applications that transform data-driven insights into impactful, user-focused solutions. Working closely with data scientists, data engineers, solutions architects, and business stakeholders, you will play a vital role in bringing innovative AI products from concept to MVP. This position requires a mix of strong hands-on coding, advanced machine learning knowledge, and experience with modern software development practices.
- Leverage advanced coding skills in Python, SQL, NoSQL et al to design and develop data products, especially AI and ML-based applications.
- Work iteratively to test, refine, and demonstrate applications and prototypes that drive commercial impact.
- Design and build complete machine learning pipelines, from data ingestion and model training to deployment, and working with relevant IT stakeholders for scalable deployment.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in areas such as machine learning, and MS Fabric.
- Rapidly develop, evaluate, and prototype new concepts and machine learning models for scalable applications, products, and services.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in machine learning and software development best practices.
- Guide, mentor, and upskill junior members of the team in modern data management techniques, establishing a culture of rigorous, high-quality development.
- Identify and solve commercial challenges by designing data-driven solutions across functions like sales, marketing, customer experience, and operations, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Contribute to thought leadership in data and AI/ML by publishing findings and engaging in industry conferences.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in AI, ML, and data analytics through research and industry participation, consistently exploring new technologies and methods to enhance commercial outcomes.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- PhD or master’s degree in STEM (e.g., Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics)
- 5-10 years of experience in data, analytics, data science, AI, and software development
- Expertise in modern data technologies, including cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), big data, and real-time analytics tools
- Proven track record of developing and productising data and analytics solutions, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end ML / Software Development Life Cycle
- Strong coding skills in Python, and other languages such as SQL, NoSQL et al and familiarity with tools for rapid prototyping
- Experience with developing ML models using libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and potentially containerisation tools like Docker, Kubernetes
- Leadership ability to guide and mentor teams in data and analytics projects
- Research and innovation skills, with the ability to prototype and adapt cutting-edge technologies from research publications
- Proficiency in programming and database management for building AI models, with knowledge of best coding practices and version control (e.g., Git)
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- High proficiency in English
