Role Overview
The Global Category Manager – Additives, Solvents, and Resins is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that support business objectives, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness across assigned categories. This role leads strategic sourcing activities, supplier negotiations, and contract management while leveraging market intelligence and spend analysis to identify value creation opportunities. The position partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to align procurement strategies with operational and financial goals. It also drives supplier performance, continuous improvement, and digital transformation initiatives within the procurement function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category sourcing strategies for additives, solvents, and resins in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, including supplier evaluations, RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiations, and contract execution
- Analyze spend, market trends, commodity data, and supplier performance to identify risks, support decision-making, and drive cost savings initiatives
- Manage supplier relationships and performance while promoting continuous improvement, process optimization, and value creation opportunities
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support procurement initiatives, ensure business alignment, and advance digital transformation efforts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of sourcing experience in procurement, supply chain, or category management
- Demonstrated negotiation skills, including pricing, contract, and supplier management strategies
- Experience working with ERP systems and procurement-related business processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions
