The Global Capacity Manager – Gaskets and Elastomers is responsible for the end-to-end capacity management of all gasket product lines worldwide. This role owns the strategic planning and tactical execution of gasket manufacturing capacity, including presses, molds, compounds, and supplier tracking at the SKU level. The position requires a highly analytical leader who can balance short-term production demands with long-term capacity investments to ensure the organization meets customer commitments and growth targets across all markets.

Key Responsibilities

Capacity Planning & Analysis

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive global capacity model for all gasket product lines, incorporating press utilization, mold utilization, press inventory, mold inventory, compound availability, and supplier capabilities
  • Develop and maintain a global mold, press, and supplier matrix by SKU and compound
  • Perform SKU-level capacity analysis to identify constraints, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization across internal manufacturing and external supply partners
  • Own the global asset strategy, including utilization tracking and capital planning for new press and mold acquisitions or upgrades
  • Evaluate and recommend press allocation strategies to align equipment capabilities with product mix and demand priorities
  • Support local Materials Management groups as needed in monitoring compound inventory levels, lead times, and supplier performance to mitigate supply risk
  • Build and maintain rolling demand projections and capacity forecasts, integrating sales pipeline data, project backlogs, and historical trends to proactively identify capacity gaps
  • Create scenario-based models to evaluate the impact of demand shifts, new product introductions, and capital investments on overall capacity
  • Develop and present monthly capacity dashboards and executive reports with clear recommendations for leadership decision-making

Press & Mold Management

  • Maintain a comprehensive mold inventory database at the SKU level, tracking mold condition, location, and press compatibility
  • Manage the mold procurement lifecycle from specification through qualification, including new mold builds, refurbishments, and replacements
  • Coordinate mold allocation across manufacturing sites to balance capacity and minimize changeover inefficiencies

Quality Integration

  • Partner with Quality Assurance to monitor and address gasket quality issues that impact capacity, including scrap rates, rework volumes, and supplier non-conformances
  • Ensure quality-driven production holds and lot dispositions are factored into capacity planning models
  • Drive root cause analysis on capacity-impacting quality events and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the single point of accountability for gasket capacity across the global organization, providing clear and timely communication to Sales, Customer Care, Supply Chain, and Operations leadership
  • Participate in S&OP and demand planning processes as the gasket capacity subject matter expert

  • Knowledge of simulation modeling tools
  • Familiarity with the pipe joining industry or related industrial manufacturing sectors
  • Track record of successful project management in a manufacturing environment.
