We are seeking a commercially sophisticated professional with a demonstrated ability to shape markets, cultivate senior client relationships, and translate laboratory service offerings into compelling, value-driven solutions. The successful individual will play a pivotal role in partnering across region, aligning regional capabilities with global objectives, influencing strategy, strengthening market position, and accelerating growth across an international laboratory network.

You will:

  • Lead global business development across the laboratory network

  • Identify and develop new markets, services, and opportunities

  • Strengthen cross-regional collaboration and key client relationships

  • Contribute to strategic growth and market positioning

Key Responsibilities

 1. Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a global business development strategy

  • Identify high-potential markets, sectors, and services

  • Define and track KPIs, revenue targets, and pipelines

  • Support alignment between global and regional strategies

 2. Market Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across regions

  • Support market entry strategies in collaboration with regional teams

  • Strengthen global market presence of laboratory services

 3. Key Account Management

  • Build and manage relationships with global clients and stakeholders

  • Support cross-regional client acquisition and retention

  • Ensure consistent service delivery and client satisfaction

 4. Commercial Excellence

  • Define strategies, value propositions, and commercial models

  • Support complex client solutions and issue resolution

  • Drive consistency in service quality and customer experience

 5. Performance Management

  • Drive revenue growth and support profitability targets

  • Monitor sales performance and implement improvements where needed

 6. Collaboration & Representation

  • Foster collaboration across regions and business units

  • Represent Control Union at industry events and partnerships

  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices

 7. Capability Development

  • Support and mentor regional business development teams

  • Identify capability gaps and contribute to training initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Chemistry or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience in business development or commercial roles

  • Strong track record in generating and converting opportunities

  • Experience in managing client relationships and sales processes

  • Ability to translate technical services into client value

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work across regions and teams

  • Willingness to travel internationally

Skills Required
