Join Hitachi Energy’s Grid Automation business as our Global Head of Sales. You will lead a global team driving commercial strategy and sales execution across a portfolio that includes enterprise software, automation and communications, power conversion solutions and services. This is a high-impact leadership role at the center of our global go-to-market transformation (Suisen)—focused on customer connection, agility, empowerment, and commercial excellence. You will work across product lines and regions to align diverse sales teams and deliver growth, while shaping how we serve customers in a rapidly evolving energy landscape. The location of this role is flexible globally and will be determined in subsequent stages.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead global sales performance across all Grid Automation offerings.
- Manage a small central team of industry leaders and functional experts focused on global sales strategy and governance.
- Provide dotted-line leadership to sales leaders in global product groups and regional hubs.
- Align multiple sales operating models under a unified go-to-market strategy.
- Drive forecasting discipline, pipeline health, and deal governance.
- Champion customer-first sales execution and strategic account leadership.
- Accelerate growth in software, digital, and lifecycle-based offerings.
- Expand reach through partner ecosystems and channel programs.
- Collaborate with regional, product, and functional leaders to ensure execution.
- Lead through transformation, simplifying structures and empowering teams.
Your Background
- 15+ years in global sales leadership roles in energy, software, or industrial sectors.
- Proven success managing complex, matrixed sales organizations.
- Experience leading sales transformation or go-to-market redesigns.
- Strong commercial acumen and forecasting discipline.
- Familiarity with enterprise software, automation, and power systems.
- Executive presence and ability to influence across functions and geographies.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
