The Global Business Unit Demand Planner is responsible for creating an accurate, data-driven demand forecasts that guides the entire supply chain, directly influencing customer service, inventory investment, and production efficiency. Translating market signals, historical data and business intelligence into a reliable demand plan , to enable better decision making across sales, operations and finance – reducing stock-outs, minimizing excess inventory and improving overall profitability and agility to the organization.
This position reports to the Senior Director, PSI & Business Analytics and is part of the Global Integrated Supply Chain located in Portsmouth, UK or Bad Kreuznach, Germany and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and maintain an accurate statistical and consensus forecast
- Lead the demand review process within S&OP
- Identify demand risks and opportunities
- Monitor forecast accuracy and bias
- Translate the demand plan into clear and actionable signals for Supply planning.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Proficiency with planning systems (e.g. Kinaxis Maestro, SAP or other APS tools)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns and turn insights into actionable forecasts
- Business acumen and understanding of end-to-end supply chain in a global manufacturing organization
- Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or relevant field
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
- Ability to travel regionally and internationally up to 25% of the time
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Kinaxis Maestro Advanced Planning System
- An experienced understanding of the RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Actions) and Counter Measures (CM) processes and Action Plan implementation.
