The Global Administrator, ERP + MES is a highly technical, hands-on role responsible for the administration, stability, governance, and continuous improvement of the company’s global ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) ecosystem.

This individual serves as the technical owner of ERP platform administration standards and practices globally, ensuring a secure, stable, and scalable environment while enabling execution of the company’s long-term ERP + MES strategy, including significant and complex transitions to Microsoft Dynamics 365.

The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, experience managing large-scale multi-environment landscapes, and a proactive mindset focused on prevention, stabilization, and operational excellence. This role is both strategic and execution-focused, requiring a strong technical doer who can drive change within an evolving enterprise environment shaped by acquisitions and diverse ERP platforms.

Scope & Environment

• Responsible for administration of 40+ global environments across 10+ ERP platforms supporting multiple business units and manufacturing operations.

• ERP landscape includes legacy and acquired systems requiring centralization, governance, and long-term transition planning.

• Operates within a transformation-driven environment where standards and governance are actively being matured.

Key Responsibilities: Global ERP + MES Platform Administration

• Own end-to-end administration of the global ERP + MES ecosystem.

• Manage environments across development, test, UAT, training, and production tiers.

• Establish and maintain global platform standards ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability.

• Implement preventative controls, monitoring, and operational guardrails to minimize platform risk and downtime.

Dynamics AX & Dynamics 365 Platform Ownership

• Provide expert technical administration and oversight of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments.

• Manage environment lifecycle activities including provisioning, refreshes, code promotions, patching, and release coordination.

• Establish governance practices for environment management, deployment standards, and data movement.

DevOps & Lifecycle Management

• Own administration and governance of: o Azure DevOps (ADO) — branching strategy, CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment governance. o Lifecycle Services (LCS) — monitoring, servicing, updates, environment management, and issue tracking.

• Standardize DevOps practices across ERP implementations and transformations.

Security & Platform Governance

• Partner closely with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to: o Support shared responsibilities within the Power Platform Admin Center. o Maintain secure access models and environment compliance. o Align ERP and MES platform administration with enterprise security standards.

Enterprise Stabilization & Preventative Strategy

• Identify systemic risks and proactively implement stabilization initiatives.

• Lead root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions for recurring platform issues.

• Drive automation, standardization, and preventative practices to improve operational resilience

ERP Administration Transition Strategy

• Develop and execute a strategy to centralize and standardize administration across acquired ERP systems.

• Establish an operating model to improve governance and reduce fragmentation across platforms.

• Support consolidation and long-term migration strategy toward Dynamics 365

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 8+ years of ERP platform administration or technical ERP leadership experience.

• Deep hands-on experience with: o Microsoft Dynamics AX (on-premise and/or cloud) o Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

• Proven experience managing complex multi-environment ERP landscapes.

• Advanced experience with: o Azure DevOps (ADO) o Lifecycle Services (LCS) o Release management and deployment governance.

• Strong technical understanding of integrations, ERP architecture, and enterprise platform operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting MES systems and manufacturing operations.

• Experience stabilizing or inheriting ERP environments following mergers or acquisitions.

• Knowledge of Power Platform governance and administration.

• Experience working in life sciences or regulated manufacturing environments. • Familiarity with X++, tiered environment strategies (Tier-1/Tier-2), ISV solution management, and environment refresh processes.
