The Role
At Sovos, we're looking for a Global Account Director to help some of the world's most complex organisations navigate the challenges of tax compliance. Reporting to the VP of Global Sales, you'll partner with a truly global team to deliver technology solutions that solve critical problems for multinational clients and high-potential prospects.
More specifically, you will:
- Generate new business opportunities with global strategic accounts, managing full sales cycles from initial contact through close, up-sell, and cross-sell.
- Develop and execute account-based commercial strategies for the Sovos Compliance Platform to increase sales opportunities and retain key customers.
- Deliver profitable revenue growth in your assigned territory, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets and maintaining a balanced pipeline.
- Build and nurture executive and C-Suite relationships with clients and prospects, leveraging AI tools to improve targeting, outreach, and relationship mapping.
- Manage complex, technical sales into large global enterprises while acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the tax compliance industry and competitive landscape.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform strategic decision-making.
What You Bring to Sovos
- You've built demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level sales cycles with global accounts, ideally in B2B SaaS or technology solutions.
- You have a consistent history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and growing strategic accounts year-over-year.
- You're skilled at building relationships at the executive and C-Suite level and know how to navigate complex organisational structures.
- You bring a strong understanding of consultative, solution-based selling in technical or compliance-oriented environments.
- You're comfortable with AI-assisted workflows, including tools that support forecasting, pipeline management, and customer insights.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%) for client meetings, events, and team collaboration.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
