Job Description

Expeditors is seeking a Global Account Manager to lead and grow strategic customer relationships across our worldwide network. This role is responsible for managing the global customer relationship, driving business retention and development, strengthening executive and operational alignment, and identifying value-added solutions that support customer supply chain priorities.

The successful candidate will bring strong business development experience, global collaboration skills, analytical capability, and the ability to influence across teams, geographies, and levels of leadership.

  • Lead the global relationship with assigned customer account(s).
  • Drive business retention, growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with customer and Expeditors objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, product diversification, and geographic expansion.
  • Build relationships across multiple levels of the customer organization, including executive stakeholders.
  • Understand customer supply chain strategies, business priorities, and operational challenges.
  • Coordinate global collaboration across product, geography, sales, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Lead customer business reviews and performance discussions using KPIs and business intelligence.
  • Monitor account performance and ensure service expectations and commitments are achieved.
  • Identify risks, service gaps, and improvement opportunities while coordinating corrective actions.
  • Develop value-added solutions utilizing Expeditors’ products, services, and technology.
  • Support customer bids, strategic initiatives, and account expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate account activity, opportunities, and customer information within CRM systems.
  • Monitor financial performance including revenue, profitability, and yield.
  • Travel as needed to support customer relationships and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent business qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of Expeditors or industry experience.
  • Proven experience in business development and strategic account management.
  • Strong knowledge of Expeditors products, services, systems, and operating structure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence across a global matrix organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Ability to achieve KPI objectives and deliver measurable business results.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Charismatic communicator with the ability to connect, influence, and build trust.

Reporting Structure

The Global Account Manager reports directly to the Regional GAM Director, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Corporate Sponsor.
