We are seeking a proactive and innovative GL Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the General Ledger Accounting function across specific sennder entities. Reporting to the Director of GL Accounting, you will play a crucial role in the transformation and centralization of our finance operations at the group level.
WHAT YOU WILL DO …
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating GL activities across multiple countries and entities, supporting the implementation of standardized processes, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the organization. You will lead a dedicated team, drive consistency in accounting practices, and collaborate closely with other global finance workstreams, including FP&A, AP/AR, Treasury, and Tax.
Additionally, you will be accountable for ensuring local tax compliance across all entities, working in conjunction with internal teams and external advisors. Your leadership will be key in achieving a unified and efficient GL Accounting function that supports our overall business objectives. In this role, you will:
- Lead and oversee GL Accounting operations for all sennder entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant month-end and year-end closings.
- Mentor and develop a team of GL accountants, fostering a culture of performance, clarity, and collaboration.
- Contribute to the centralization and harmonization of accounting processes as part of the group’s transformation roadmap.
- Serve as the primary accounting contact for the organization, coordinating activities across relevant finance workstreams.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant local GAAPs, as well as adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Supervise journal entries, reconciliations, provisions, intercompany transactions, and provide audit support.
- Identify and implement process enhancements, focusing on standardization, documentation, and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all entities to ensure aligned and efficient accounting operations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Audit, with proven team leadership experience.
- In-depth knowledge of local GAAPs and IFRS; familiarity with other local GAAPs is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-entity and international month-end closings.
- Experience managing local tax compliance topics, in coordination with tax advisors or external stakeholders, is a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a hands-on and solution-oriented mindset.
- Background in finance transformation, process optimization, or shared service environments is highly advantageous.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite and Oracle preferred) and solid Excel skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
