Join the LEGO® Group and play a key role in delivering accurate, compliant, and high-quality financial services as a GL Accountant! As part of a team supporting the EMEA region, you’ll focus on accounting processes for fixed assets and leases while helping ensure excellence across our finance operations!
Core Responsibilities
In this role, you will perform month-end closing activities, prepare journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledger records for assigned entities. You will also:
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Ensure compliance with LEGO® Group accounting policies, internal controls, and local legislation.
- Support internal and external audit activities, including statutory, tax, and internal audits.
- Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and Finance Business Partners on ad hoc projects and analyses.
- Understand partner needs to provide accurate and value-adding financial insights.
This is an 18-month temporary position based in Prague - Jinonice, with no relocation assistance provided.
Play your part in our team succeeding
You will be part of the GL team within Business Service Operations (BSO) - the LEGO Group’s shared service center providing Finance and HR services globally from Monterrey, Prague, and Singapore.
The GL team ensures high-quality and compliant financial operations for the EMEA region, maintaining accurate transactional data, supporting audits, and providing insightful financial analyses.

- Solid professional experience in finance, accounting, or a transferable role.
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Proactive mindset with resilience and a can-do attitude.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to build trust with interested parties.
What would be an advantage?
- Experience working in a multinational or shared service environment.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
