Job Description

The General Ledger (GL) Accountant is one of the key roles within the Financial Accounting team responsible for delivering month-end accounting entries that impacts Balance Sheets and P&L. The GL Senior Accountant is responsible for booking, review and completion of journal entries, analysis and accuracy of BS reconciliations, solving other relevant accounting issues in compliance with local legislation, and supervising less experienced accountants.

• Perform monthly closing activities for assigned locations (accruals, deferrals, FX revaluations, intercompany)
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Administration of VAT returns and other reporting to local tax authorities
• Cooperate with internal and external auditors
• Participating in diverse projects in order to provide an expertise
• Engage in process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Accounting experience
• Accounting education
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• English and Czech on communicative level
• Be Team Player and supportive
• Ability to set priorities and work under time pressure with can-do attitude.
• MS Office skills, advanced level in MS Excel
