GL Accountant (R2R) - International SSC

Verisure (in Portugal known as Securitas Direct) is seeking a talented, innovative, hands-on and passionate GL Accountant (Record-to-Report) to join our growing Shared Services Center in Lisbon.

You will own key General Ledger activities (month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries) across several European markets, working in an international environment with strong exposure to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities Will Include, Among Others

• Perform month-end closing activities (journal entries, accruals, validations)
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain and analyse General Ledger accounts
• Support reporting in Oracle / HFM
• Ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with internal policies
• Collaborate with local finance teams across EuropeLocation

The position will be based in Lisbon (Portugal)

This position will report directly to the Shared Services Center Manager, based in Lisbon

Candidate Profile

Experience And Qualifications

We see this role as critical for the achievement of Verisure’s growth and organizational transformation goals while the Shared Services Center aims for centralization and automation.

As a result, we are looking for a self-starter and high potential / top performer individual who will combine Accounting knowledge with a proactive business mindset focused on driving value to the business.

• Education degree in Finance / Economics / Accounting / Business with deep understanding of Accounting and financial concepts (qualified accountant ideal)
• 2–8 years of experience in General Ledger / R2R roles
• Solid experience in month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• - Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or similar)
• Fluent in written and spoken English
