ISS STOXX is actively hiring a General Ledger Accountant for the Mumbai (Goregaon East) location.
Shifting timings would be 11AM to 8 PM
Overview:
As a General Ledger Accountant, ISS seeks a highly driven and skilled professional to join our team. In this capacity, you will be in charge of managing the accounting procedures for our EMEA region. Daily financial operations and month-end obligations will be your main priorities. You will ensure prompt and accurate activity recording while collaborating closely with the finance team to achieve pressing month-end requirements.
Responsibilities:
Independently handle month-end close for EMEA/ German entities.
Finalization up to the preparation of financial statements Prepare Balance sheet reconciliation, MIS and bank reconciliations.
Ability to analyse trial balance, look for corrections and make the necessary adjusting entries.
Coordinating with the auditors and several teams inhouse for interim audit as well as statutory audit of EMEA/ German entities
Reviewing & approving invoices, and expenses, Posting & processing journal entries in the accounting system.
Create & maintain fixed asset register in the accounting system and prepare monthly reconciliation for the same.
Can handle projects, prepare reports and financial analysis as requested by managers from EMEA/USA
Working knowledge of direct and indirect taxes to help with accounting.
Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in accounting or CA intermediate with 5+ years of Experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate accounting.
Experience in Accounts Payable and basic knowledge of sales tax and input tax, in particular knowledge of the accounting system for expenses and income in sales tax and input tax accounts based on tax codes for German companies
Experience in Swiss or German GAAP ( HGB and IFRS ) companies is preferable.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, excel etc.)
Good command of the English language (Speaking and Writing)
Knowledge of German language is an advantage but not required
Experience in SAP / S4Hana is preferred.
