Job Description

We are looking for a colleague, who would join professional, active, courageous team of Ignitis Renewables Estonia and help us take care of development and optimization of the Company's spatial database. Your key areas of responsibilities will be: 

  • Developing and optimizing company's spatial database and its integration with existing databases 
  • Integrating publicly available spatial data to analyze sites for renewable energy projects 
  • Executing spatial analysis and integrate them with other data relevant to the development of renewable energy projects 
  • Analyzing projects carried out by competitors 
  • Creating a cartographic studies, including map annexes for applications for decision making.
  • Providing support to civil designers and project development team throughout the project development process. 

Qualifications

  • Have preferably a university degree (preferably in geoinformatics, engineering, geography, or cartography) 
  • Have knowledge and experience in publicly available GIS systems and databases (e.g. Geoportal, INSPIRE, etc.) 
  • Experience working with ESRI solutions and applications (ArcGIS PRO, ArcGIS online)
  • Knowledge and experience with AGOL solutions (creating and managing of web maps, web applications, dashboards)
  • Have experience in GIS software for at least 2 years
  • Knowledge of Python would be an advantage
  • Are skilled in Microsoft Office,
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD software would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of open-source GIS systems would be an advantage (QGIS)
  • Have good oral and written communication skills in English and Estonian languages
