ERM’s Capital Project Delivery Team leads this transformation, helping organizations design, permit, and operate projects that align with global sustainability standards and local expectations. From impact assessments to biodiversity and resettlement planning, this role ensures projects across region are investable, resilient, and ethical. Your expertise will shape initiatives that balance progress with purpose, creating a sustainable legacy for industries driving the region’s future.
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on developing maps (using ArcGIS Pro) for baseline, environmental impact assessment and modelling.
- Gain technical knowledge of the processes pertaining to the collection of baselines environmental and move on to developing understanding of how impacts are modelled and assessed.
- Learn how to interpret spatial information relating to predicted environmental impacts caused by a planned project.
- Work with ERM Thailand office and other offices as requested in undertaking GIS, remote sensing and spatial analysis of projects.
- Provide support in preparing maps, undertaking research and data analysis for the Capital Delivery Project (CPD) team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant environmental, scientific or engineering subject.
- Graduate or up to 2 years of experience in spatial analysis and GIS applications.
- Fluent in English. The ability to communicate clearly and inclusively with colleagues, clients and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in applying image processing techniques to extract meaningful information and patterns from remote sensing data (e.g. land cover, habitat etc.)
Desirable, but not a prerequisite, skills and experience.
- Ability to code in python, R or VBA
- Education abroad in other countries
- Ability to understand energy project components and activities
- Understanding of basic concepts of biodiversity (e.g. ecology, habitats, etc.)
