Osmose Utilities is currently seeking a GIS Analyst in our Depew, NY office able to work a HYBRID schedule must be local to perform GIS related tasks and develop configurations and processes to prepare customer data for import to the company's system.
Responsibilities- Import, process, and validate customer provided data for import into our system.
- Utilize tools provided to build deliverable import/export configurations.
- Generate reports as requested by internal or external customers.
- Track and report on the processing status for each customer.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards.
- Communicate with customers as needed to resolve data issues.
- Train, coach, and supervise GIS Technicians while monitoring departmental output and quality standards.
- Develop configurations and processes to prepare customer data for import to our system.
- Contribute to other projects, plans and teams not specifically noted above, to achieve the goals of the Company.
- Learn and perform other teams' tasks to provide support within the department as needed.
- Master’s Degree in preferably in Geography or GIS or related technical discipline or 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
- Extensive knowledge of GIS software, primarily the ESRI ecosystem
- Working knowledge of geoprocessing scripts, preferably Python
- Strong understanding of database concepts.
- Highly proficient in MS Access, Excel and Word.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to learn processes, procedures and software independently and quickly.
