Freese and Nichols is looking for GIS Analyst in Fort Worth, Texas. As GIS Analyst, you will apply geographic information systems expertise to support planning, engineering, and infrastructure projects by analyzing spatial data, producing high-quality maps and exhibits, and supporting teams across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Analyze spatial and tabular data using GIS tools to support project needs
Create, maintain, and update maps, figures, dashboards, and spatial datasets
Prepare cartographic exhibits that clearly communicate technical information
Support development and configuration of GIS services and web applications
Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data quality control
Maintain GIS databases, metadata, and documentation
Support internal GIS users through training, troubleshooting, and technical assistance
Collaborate with project teams to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations
Bachelor’s degree in geographic information systems, geography, environmental science, computer science, or related field
In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience or an Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience.
Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Online
Experience working with spatial and tabular datasets and geodatabases
Ability to create clear, accurate maps and technical exhibits
Preferred
Master’s degree in a related field
Experience with Python scripting or ModelBuilder
Familiarity with CAD or MicroStation data integration
Experience supporting enterprise GIS environments
Knowledge of LiDAR or aerial imagery processing
