About this opportunity:
We are seeking an accomplished professional as Manager, Government & Industry Relations (GIR) whom drives Ericsson's policy influence, regulatory engagement, and public affairs agenda across the region. This role strengthens Ericsson's position as a trusted partner to governments, industry bodies, and key stakeholders shaping the digital transformation landscape.
What you will do:
• Strategic Engagement & Advocacy
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior policymakers, regulators, and industry leaders to advance Ericsson's strategic interests.Represent Ericsson in high-level forums, trade chambers, and industry councils, ensuring the company's perspectives are clearly articulated and well-positioned.
• Policy Insight & Foresight
Provide strategic analysis of emerging policy, trade, and regulatory developments to inform business decisions and risk management.Shape and communicate Ericsson's positions on key issues such as spectrum, data governance, cybersecurity, trade, and sustainability.
• Global Alignment & InfluencePartner with Ericsson's regional and global GIR network to align advocacy priorities and amplify influence across markets.Identify opportunities to position Ericsson as a thought leader in digital infrastructure and technology policy.
• Internal Advisory & Governance
Advise senior leaders on government, regulatory, and geopolitical developments impacting Ericsson's operations and growth.Promote policy awareness and compliance excellence within internal teams, ensuring adherence to ethical and transparent engagement practices.
The skills you bring:
Education: Advanced degree in Public Policy, Law, International Relations, Economics, or related discipline.
Experience: 10+ years in government relations, policy advocacy, or regulatory affairs, preferably within ICT or technology sectors.
Expertise: Deep understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at national and regional levels.
