Who could you be at GHD?

Are you a student in your penultimate year or earlier looking to gain practical experience while you study? At GHD, we offer casual work opportunities that allow you to start building your career while balancing your studies.

Whether your passion lies in Engineering, Science, Project Management, Architecture, or another consulting specialty, we’ll help you find meaningful ways to contribute. As a junior team member, you’ll gain exposure to exciting projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and get a feel for what a future at GHD could look like.

You might find yourself supporting design teams, contributing to bids and tenders, or even getting involved in occasional site work. While there’s no formal program for casual roles, you’ll have the chance to develop foundational skills, expand your network, and explore potential career pathways within GHD.

Think of it as the first step in discovering where your passion for consulting could take you!

Please note that this opportunity is only valid for our Northern NSW offices, therefore it is a requirement that you are currently living and studying in the Northern NSW region. As this role is an EOI, you will be contacted when and if a role that matches your studies becomes available.

Your journey to joining GHD:

Here’s what to expect, step by step:

• Screening: We review applications as they come in, but be mindful that this is an EOI application and we may not have a suitable role at the time of your application. We will keep your application on file for any future opportunities that may arise.
• Shortlisting: If your profile matches a team or available role, your application documents will be sent over for a hiring manager to review. 
• Meet the team: Next, you’ll have a face-to-face or virtual interview with your prospective team. We’ll chat through some behavioural based questions to learn more about your skills and experience. It’s also a chance for you to get to know us!
• Offer: Congratulations! If you’re successful, we’ll talk through all the finer details, like salary, your start date, and our background checking process.
