Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with 5–6+ years of experience, with a strong focus on mobile application testing and automation. The role requires hands-on experience across iOS and Android, automation frameworks, CI pipelines, web/API testing, and mobile usability.
Native mobile development expertise is not required, but strong mobile app testing experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android applications.
- Test across real devices, iOS Simulator, and Android Emulator.
- Integrate and maintain mobile automation suites within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform web and API automation testing.
- Validate mobile releases and troubleshoot issues across staging and production.
- Ensure strong coverage of functionality, usability, regression, and cross-platform compatibility.
Must-Have Skills
- 5–6+ years of mobile app testing experience
- • Mobile automation: strong hands-on experience with Appium, Mobilewright or Detox, including testing on real devices. Comfortable working in Xcode with the iOS Simulator and in Android Studio with the emulator.
- • Mobile CI: has actually got mobile test suites running reliably in a CI pipeline, ideally GitHub Actions.
- • Web automation: Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- • API testing: Postman/Newman.
- • Mobile release tooling: TestFlight and CodePush.
- • Source control: GitHub, and comfortable with PR-based workflows.
- • Observability: Datadog, used to troubleshoot staging and production issues.

- Contract testing with Pact
- Performance testing using JMeter or k6
- Feature flag testing, preferably GrowthBook
- Basic SQL
- AI-assisted testing/tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor
