Job DescriptionIn your new role as Junior Manager (m/f/d) Market Access, Pricing & Public Affairs (DACH) you support the development and implementation of pricing and market access strategies to ensure optimal reimbursement and pricing for Santen’s products across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
This role works closely with the Senior Manager P&MA DACH, and cross-functional teams (Marketing & Medical Affairs) to contribute to successful product launches, policy monitoring, and stakeholder engagement.
QualificationsKey responsibilities
Market Access
- Contribute to the development and implementation of national market access strategies for priority products in the DACH cluster, considering EMEA market access strategies, brand plans and stakeholder needs
- Identify market access hurdles in the DACH cluster, and support the development and implementation strategies to overcome them
- Support the AD, Market Access (DACH) in the entire HTA process for the entire Santen portfolio in the DACH cluster
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate DACH-specific pricing and market access requirements (e.g., study design, endpoints, statistical analyses for best possible market access) into commercial strategies
- Assist with product launches and ensure market access via HTA pathways, pricing strategies
- Analyze and monitor indication-specific market conditions
- Prepare and manage submissions to public formularies at local, regional and/or hospital level ensuring appropriate access for Santen products
Price management
- Support and coordinate operational pricing activities with health care authorities and external stakeholders
- Analyze pricing trends and regulatory changes
- Coordinate pricing data and reporting with the EMEA Pricing team
Public Affairs
- Serve as a contact person for market access and policy topics for internal and external stakeholders
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess potential implications for Santen portfolio
Experiences required
Essential
- First professional experience (approx. 1–3 years) in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably in Market Access, Pricing, or Public Affairs
- Basic knowledge of pricing and market access mechanisms and regulations in Germany and/or Austria and Switzerland, with willingness to deepen expertise
- Understanding of market access stakeholders, their perspectives, and decision-making processes.
- Initial experience in supporting the development and coordination of key pricing and market access documents (e.g., HTA dossiers, G-BA consultation requests, or government consultation documents) under guidance.
Desirable
- Exposure to ophthalmology, medical devices, or specialty pharmaceuticals
- Experience supporting new product launches or life-cycle management projects
- Familiarity with generic competition or collaboration with patient association groups
Functional & Technical competencies required
- Experience in market access, pricing and reimbursement roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry in the DACH region
- Familiarity with the healthcare systems, pricing regulations, and reimbursement processes in at least one of the DACH countries
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Good communication and presentation skills; able to liaise effectively across teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Education
University degree (preferably Master degree) in healthcare related studies or in science and/or business-related discipline
Languages
Very good German (min. C1) and good English written and spoken
