The Engineering Lead is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to process specifications across all areas of the lead‑recycling operation. This role drives continuous improvement, manages process changes, implements best practices, and oversees documentation updates for all process-related modifications. The position acts as a key technical partner for Plant Operations, ensuring process stability, quality, safety, and technological alignment with global engineering standards.
What You’ll Do- Manage process changes resulting from improvement projects, replications, and deviation requests.
- Lead the creation and update of process documentation for lead and polypropylene recycling.
- Analyze process performance, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate implementation with plant teams.
- Conduct and maintain PFMEA / AMEF and support internal process audits.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineering to develop automation and technology‑based solutions.
- Ensure compliance with process specifications and monitor adherence through audits and operational data.
- Support troubleshooting and problem‑solving with production, maintenance, melting/refining, and plastics areas.
- Contribute to the CMS / Design for Manufacturing process and ensure alignment with engineering standards.
- Maintain compliance with the CAS (Quality–Environment–Safety) Management System, ISO 14001, and applicable operational controls.
- Participate in incident investigations when required.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and provide input for HPT strategies.
- Process deviations are minimized, and changes are managed efficiently and in compliance with plant and corporate standards.
- Updated and accurate process documentation is always available and aligned with technological requirements.
- Improvement initiatives reduce variability, improve efficiency, and enhance process capability.
- Automation and technology upgrades are successfully implemented in collaboration with Controls Engineering.

- Education: Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineer or Chemical Engineer.
- Experience:
- Process engineering roles within manufacturing (ideally metals or chemical processes).
- Experience with non-ferrous metal melting/refining, process audits, PFMEA, Six Sigma, extraction systems, material/energy balances, and 8D/CAPS methodology.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of process controls, manufacturing specifications, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of automation concepts and collaboration with Controls Engineering.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and EHS operational controls.
- Language: English – 90%
- Other Requirements: Availability to travel; no relocation required.
- On-site role at the recycling plant.
- Travel required depending on projects and cross‑site initiatives.
