What you'll do:
- Analyze and interpret geospatial data to provide clear, actionable insights for emergency response, strategic planning, and operational decision-making.
- Utilize advanced GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth) to integrate and visualize static and dynamic data, highlighting critical information during events like natural disasters, civil unrest, or logistical challenges.
- Engage with a variety of data sources in dynamic and challenging conditions, providing assessments that inform public safety, evacuation strategies, and infrastructure status.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive reports and visualizations, guiding stakeholders through the complexities of critical events.
- Operationalize field-generated information, enhancing our platform's responsiveness and effectiveness in real-time scenarios.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in geography, emergency management, GIS, intelligence, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency management, GIS, or intelligence.
- Proficient in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and open-source GIS tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Experience with Python scripting in a GIS context is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks in rapidly evolving situations.
- Excellent collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in crisis or disaster response, particularly in roles that require quick, decisive analysis.
- Familiarity with various data types and sources relevant to operational conditions in emergencies.
- Ability to produce a range of intelligence outputs, including reports, maps, charts, and briefings.
