BAE Systems, Inc. has a contingent opening for a Geospatial Data Scientist supporting US Army INSCOM primarily on Ft. Gordon, GA. The candidate's role will be to work with GEOINT analysts to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, systems, process automation, and models to support customer intelligence requirements. The Geospatial Data Scientist will be expected to lead efforts such as, but not limited to:
- design, implementation, and operate data driven approaches to client's intelligence requirements;
- design how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems;
- developing, adapting, and integrating algorithms, software tools, and tradecraft to satisfy customer requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
MA/MS degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in a STEM-related discipline AND 5 years of relevant experience;
OR
BA/BS degree in a STEM-related discipline AND 10 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated mastery and employment of geographic and geospatial scientific principles, tools, and analytical techniques, to be reflected throughout most of the relevant prior experience.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with data science techniques including (but not limited to) logistic regression, vector, natural language processing, principal component analysis, clustering techniques, neural networks, deep learning models, image recognition and algorithm employment or development in support of any of the foregoing.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with tabular analysis, SQL, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia, etc.) to deliver unique insights otherwise unobtainable.
Familiarity with agile software development project management frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.) to deliver new capabilities.
Ability to work non-traditional hours or days if mission requirements emerge.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Certification in AWS (AI/ML specialty)
Experience working with IT, business, or operational metrics platforms (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Confluence, etc.).
Knowledge of the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) production chain.
Experience working within a Department of War (DoW) or Intelligence Community (IC) operational environment and with DoW/IC geospatial data repositories.
Familiarity with Army, DoW or IC GEOINT or Geospatial processes, policy and programs.
Experience with Microsoft Office tools to deliver reports, graphics and briefings.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
