Description ED-RN:
- Registered Nurse implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.

Requirements ED-RN:
- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Applicants with an associate degree in nursing and less than 10 years of experience must enroll within 12 months of hire in a bachelor’s degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment.

Skills Required
- Current registered nurse licensure or work permit in Kentucky
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
- Associate degree nurses with fewer than 10 years of experience must enroll in a bachelor’s degree program within 12 months of hire and complete it within 5 years
- Basic Life Support certification, or obtain it within 30 days of hire
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and successful completion of a dysrhythmia class as required by the assigned department
