Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of the global geopolitical environment and how it affects strategic operations. Candidates should have experience focussing on regional geopolitics and/or foreign affairs. Candidates must also have awareness of how the financially motivated cyber underground functions and how that intersects with wider geopolitics and foreign affairs. Candidates should be self-starters and who are comfortable creating something independently and working with little supervision.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primarily support the regional desk leads within the Geopolitical Analysis team.
  • Triage open source reports about key geopolitical events and draft daily intelligence reports.
  • Contribute to maintaining catalog updates of published geopolitical reports on countries’ threat environments and state-backed cyber threat groups.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of global geopolitics and foreign affairs and how this impacts wider strategic goals/aims of the respective regions and elsewhere.
  • Seek opportunities to expand the team’s regional reporting coverage and suggest cross-regional themes for potential intelligence report curation.
  • Be able to form and/or contribute to predictive assessments.
  • Draw upon open and closed sources of intelligence to form well rounded, multi-sourced Finished Intelligence (FINTEL) reports.
  • Work across multi-disciplined teams to draw upon experience and expertise towards a common goal.

Education, Experience and Qualification

  • Experience creating and analytical reports, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Comfortable contributing to ongoing and developing projects.
  • Able to work under pressure, to tight and changing deadlines.
  • Able to analyze large data sets and identify trends, patterns and anomalies to form unique intelligence.
  • Open minded, stress resistant, and hands on.
  • Understanding of the Intelligence Cycle and how it affects the analytical workflow.
  • Clear and concise communication skills.

The role will report to the Sr. Director of Geopolitical Analysis, but will be expected to interact and work closely with other areas of the company as needed. The role is available anywhere within the EU or UK and involves occasional travel within the US, Europe and Asia. The role requires regular contact with our international team located in North America, South America, Western and Eastern Europe, and Asia so a comfort working with diverse professional and cultural backgrounds is required.
