Position Summary  

The GEO Specialist is responsible for optimising partner websites for Generative Engine Optimisation, ensuring they are technically structured, crawlable, and AI‑readable across LLM‑driven search environments. This role focuses on technical audits, LLM‑specific optimisation, and translating AI search insights into practical, scalable recommendations across partner sites. 

    

Key Responsibilities   

  • Conduct ongoing technical GEO audits across all priority partner websites, assessing crawlability, indexing, site structure, UX and AI readability.  
  • Work with development teams on website speed optimization with a focus on Core Web Vitals score within Google Search Console.
  • Implement and maintain LLMs.txt and other emerging AI search protocols across partner sites.  
  • Identify and resolve technical issues impacting visibility in generative search platforms.  
  • Provide strategic recommendations for AI‑optimised content structures, schema, navigation and internal linking.  
  • Monitor and analyse AI and organic search performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs and SEMRush.  
  • Produce monthly GEO performance reports, highlighting insights, risks and opportunities.  
  • Collaborate closely with Content, Digital, IT and Marketing teams to ensure technical recommendations are implemented effectively.  
  • Stay current on evolving LLM and generative search best practices, adapting optimisation approaches as platforms change. 

Success metrics 

  • Completion of technical GEO audits across all priority partner sites  
  • Successful implementation of LLMs.txt on priority sites  
  • Measurable improvements in AI visibility, indexing and crawl health  
  • Delivery of actionable, LLM‑specific optimisation recommendations  
  • Consistent monthly reporting and insight delivery 

Requirements
  • Strong experience in technical SEO / GEO, site audits and optimisation (3-5+ years)  
  • Working knowledge of how LLMs and generative search platforms surface content  
  • Experience implementing technical best‑practice at scale across multiple sites  
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills  
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical insights to non‑technical stakeholders  
  • Great stakeholder management  
  • Proven history being proactive and curious
