JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Team Lead of Customer & Market Insights, the Geo Marketing Advisor will be responsible for providing to the different teams all the relevant insights specific to the different regions and postal/ZIP codes, for both Canada and the United States. That person will have to look out for all the relevant sources of information (internally and externally) about our customers and the market, and integrate them by building maps and visual representation of the data that will be easy for the stakeholders to understand. Having a strategic position within the organization, he/she will need to provide ongoing support to the different teams by understanding their needs, providing them the relevant insights to support their objectives and identifying the latest regional/geographical trends in the market. The Geo Marketing Advisor will have a key role by contributing directly to the data-driven decisions of the different teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own all the geographical data & mapping, and serve as a point of reference for all inquiries about regional insights

  • Collect, regroup update and analyze data from different sources on customers and on the market, and map it by regions (mapping visualization)

  • Provide ongoing strategic support to the different teams & stakeholders

  • Work in close collaboration with the marketing teams in order to identify the right priorities for Cogeco/Breezeline

  • Prepare & present reports, and communicate insights that are clear and oriented towards the strategic impact for Cogeco

  • Maintain contact and collaborate with the different stakeholders to understand their needs in terms of regional insights

  • Communicate and update the stakeholders on any new regional trend or change observed in the market

  • Maintain contact with the data integration teams in order to have access to any new relevant source of information and to assure the quality of the data (KPIs and metrics to track)

REQUIREMENTS

 

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Business Intelligence, etc.) or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role 

  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry is an asset

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS

  • Good understanding of key concepts of customer analytics and metrics (e.g. ARPA, Customer lifetime value, customer segmentation)

  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau or DataStudo)

  • Advanced ability to analyze / draw insights from data and clearly communicate them (verbal/written) to the stakeholders and senior management

  • Strong storyteller, able to build a strategy through to execution

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Bilingualism in English/French is an asset.

  • Works independently with minimal oversight and technical support from manager

  • Strong analytical skills and good intuition with numbers, connecting the dots, synthesizing disparate information sources and storytelling

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Team player and collaborative spirit
