Bio-Rad in Switzerland is currently looking for a remotely-based Genomics Systems Specialist (m/f/d) - 100%.


As Sales Specialist for our qPCR and Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) portfolio, you will be the primary point of contact for genomics customers across Switzerland - combining scientific expertise with sales drive to grow Bio-Rad's business from first contact through to closing, and beyond.


Your impact:

  • Own sales performance for our qPCR and Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) systems, assays, reagents and consumables across Switzerland, serving a broad customer base -  from academia and research institutes to industry, clinical laboratories and BioPharma accounts
  • Drive the genomics consumables and assay business as a key entry point into customer applications, translating scientific needs into the right Bio-Rad solution and into concrete sales opportunities
  • Manage sales projects end-to-end, from first contact to closing, including customer presentations and product demonstrations
  • Follow up with existing customers after the sale, building reference customers and unlocking further potential for Bio-Rad
  • Plan and deliver customer workshops and product/application training sessions, and share your expertise internally with colleagues as needed
  • Partner closely with our Account Managers and product specialists across the Swiss team to ensure the best possible customer experience
  • Maintain our CRM system to document contacts, opportunities, activities and visit reports, and to prepare offers
  • Track the market - competitor activity, trends and sales potential with existing and new customers - and share insights with colleagues and managers
  • Initiate local marketing activities such as seminars, exhibitions, workshops and mailings, and represent Bio-Rad at trade fairs, conventions and congresses, including giving presentations and talks

What you bring:

  • MS or equivalent degree in Life Sciences; MBA or PhD is a plus
  • Several years of laboratory experience
  • Scientific know-how and practical laboratory experience with qPCR, including assay design and application
  • Practical experience with ddPCR, and prior experience in a customer-facing or sales role, are strong pluses
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong internal networks across sales and specialist functions
  • Fluent in German and English; further languages, in particular French, are a strong plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, professional demeanor, team player
  • Valid Swiss driving license (car)

Skills Required
