Join us as General Worker in the Northland Region
Join our dynamic team in Whangārei as a General Worker | Traffic Management Operator with our roading maintenance team. We offer a supportive team culture with plenty of opportunities to upskill and advance your career.
You will be assisting and supporting the civil work teams with general tasks associated with road maintenance patrol activities across the region (signs, potholes, piloting, traffic control). With lots of work available and an immediate start, it’s the perfect time to step into a rewarding role.
In addition to the above you will:
Assisting with the setup and maintenance of traffic management systems on various sites
Operating and maintaining machinery and tools used in road construction and maintenance
Performing manual labour tasks such as digging, lifting, and site clean-up to support the team
Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members

We’re looking for someone with:
A high level of energy, motivation and maintain a good level of physical fitness
A minimum of a full Class 1 licence (essential), a Class 2, W,T & R endorsements are beneficial
This is a growth role, and so a keenness to develop your skills, knowledge and competency in road & civil construction is essential
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and able to perform your role within in a team context
Be reliable, trustworthy, engaged at work
