General Operatives
Rotherham - Newyork way
Full time, permanent, 42.5 hours per week
Salary up to £29864.30 per annum plus van and fuel card
About the Role
As a General Operative, you will play a key role in delivering damp and mould remediation services to housing properties within the Rotherham area. This position requires excellent organisational skills, technical proficiency, and a customer-focused approach. You will be responsible for conducting remediation works, ensuring timely completion to high standards, and adhering to all safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
Principal Accountabilities
- Carrying out multi-skilled duties on void and occupied properties which has been damaged from damp and mould
- Responsible for joinery works to include replacing skirting boards, doors, door frames and windows
- Carrying out patch plastering and redecoration
- Undertaking plumbing works to include fixing leaks and installing new fixtures to include ventilation systems
- Treating and painting of the effected areas
- Replacing doors, windows and any other surfaces which could be damaged by damp and mould
- Responsible for wearing the provided PPE, provide high levels of customer care and ensure works are carried out high industry standard.
- You will adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures at all times
Key Criteria
- Experience in the above accountabilities
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Be in a core trade in either plumbing or carpentry and be able to carry out multi-skilled duties
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to manage sensitive customer situations
