Job Description

• Providing comprehensive midwifery care for women, pregnant mothers, mothers in labor, postpartum mothers, newborns, and reproductive health patients in accordance with hospital service standards, clinical guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Receive and identify patients in accordance with the service standards established by the Hospital to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.

• Conduct initial assessments of maternal and neonatal patients to determine midwifery diagnoses, identify risks and priorities, and establish individualized midwifery care plans independently and collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct periodic reassessments based on the patient's condition or when significant changes occur in maternal, fetal, or neonatal status, treatment plans, and individual needs to determine patient responses and plan further care and/or discharge.

• Analyze integrated information obtained from assessments and diagnostic results to plan and implement midwifery interventions, both independently and collaboratively, in order to promote maternal and neonatal health and prevent complications.

• Monitor pregnancy, labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn adaptation, and promptly report any abnormalities or emergency conditions to the responsible physician or related healthcare professionals.

• Ensure the availability, readiness, and completeness of medical equipment, supplies, and medications required for maternal and neonatal care, and assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and deliveries to ensure smooth clinical services.

• Carry out comprehensive health education and counseling activities for patients and their families regarding pregnancy, childbirth preparation, postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care, family planning, and reproductive health to support optimal health outcomes.

• Observe and evaluate the effectiveness of midwifery interventions and continuously monitor patient progress, documenting and reporting significant developments to physicians and relevant healthcare professionals.

• Carry out complete, accurate, and timely documentation before, during, and after patient care activities to ensure continuity of care, maintain medical records, support treatment planning, and provide statistical and legal references.

• Collect required data and/or prepare reports related to maternal and neonatal care services, clinical outcomes, and operational activities for analysis and reporting purposes by management and other related stakeholders.

• Implement quality improvement and patient safety procedures and practices, including participation in training programs, data collection, documentation, audits, and reporting activities required to support hospital-wide quality indicators and departmental performance targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma IV (D4) in Midwifery or Bachelor of Midwifery (S1 Kebidanan) with Midwife Professional Program (Profesi Bidan).

• Possess an active Lifetime Registration Certificate (STR) as a Midwife.

• Certification in Normal Delivery Care (Asuhan Persalinan Normal/APN) will be an added advantage.
