General Manager

What You'll Do

As a General Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of driving success and ensuring smooth operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and develop your team, providing ongoing feedback to inspire peak performance and continuous growth.
• Performance Excellence: Drive operational success by achieving internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as Labor to Revenue (LTR), truck turn times, and customer service standards.
• Strategic Improvements: Analyze warehouse operations and costs, implementing process enhancements to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Customer Relationships: Partner with the Sales Manager to enhance customer relationships through effective marketing strategies, rate negotiation, and account management.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure compliance with safety and food quality standards while optimizing budgets, equipment, and space utilization to meet corporate targets.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you'll need:

• 5+ years in operations management with specific experience in a foodservice warehouse environment
• Expertise in strategy development, process improvement (e.g., Six Sigma, LEAN), and cost management.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills, including experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage with customers, team members, and stakeholders.
• A knack for problem-solving and navigating ambiguity with confidence and creativity.
• Flexibility to travel up to 25% and adapt to various working conditions, including cold or dry storage environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations management or supply chain.
