Job summary:
A successful branch team makes connections with its customers and creates long-lasting relationships and each General Manager at Patterson Dental is responsible for making sure his or her entire team falls in line with this goal. An effective candidate for this role is a self-starting professional with leadership experience and a proven track record in sales.
Major Duties:

People Management:

Effectively communicate and support company values, vision, strategies, and objectives.

In partnership with all other branch management, create a branch culture built upon unified teamwork, unparalleled customer service, and individual accountability.

Hold direct reports accountable for meeting performance standards and departmental performance goals by measuring performance metrics and completing regular performance reviews.

Effectively achieve growth and sales targets by successfully managing the sales team. Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for territories against projected sales volume and profit for all existing and new products.

Encourage the growth of all direct and indirect reports through skill development and goal setting.

Coach, motivate, and recognize the accomplishments of all employees to expand job performance, increase engagement, and commitment.

Determine personnel needs to ensure branch obligations are met and participate in the talent selection process, including hiring and promotion recommendations.

Resolve employee issues in an effective and consistent manner.

Finance, Forecasting and Reporting:
-
Accountable for all profit and loss figures. Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement.

Execute on organizational objectives and top-line growth by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements through effective operational processes: allocation of financial resources, department workflows, regular review of progress, and making any necessary mid-course corrections.

Prepare and deliver monthly sales, revenue, and expense reporting as well as realistic forecasts to Region President.

Marketing:

Responsible for building strong relationships with customers, vendor partners, and internal departments to ensure proper management of the sales lifecycle.

Implement product marketing strategies within branch market including advertising campaigns and sales promotions.

Promote the organization through industry and community events.

In collaboration with vendor partners, create and deliver local customer-centered events and training opportunities that build customer loyalty and provide a return on investment.

Job qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in sales, management, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years demonstrated experience in leading teams and fostering highly collaborative work environments, championing innovation and advancing the capabilities of high performing teams. Proven track record in sales.

Advanced computer proficiency including knowledge of MS Office is required.

The ability to effectively prioritize, plan and organize, problem solve, make decisions in a timely manner, and execute on strategy is key.

High business acumen, strong decision making skills and a strong customer focus is vital.

Candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, exercising diplomacy and good judgement.

Demonstrated success in prioritizing and time-management.

Previous experience in the following areas: customer service, sales and asset management, and supervising sales teams.

Related industry knowledge is a plus.

Available for 20% of travelling annually.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
