ABOUT THE ROLE
As General Manager for Taiwan, you will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of all commercial sales and marketing business activities to support Haleon priorities, strategies and initiatives. You will formulate, evaluate and implement compliance initiatives in line with global compliance practices.
You will also ensure that regulatory, distribution and logistics activities are developed that facilitate and augment the delivery of the commercial strategy and develop a high performing team.
This role reports into Emerson Aguinaldo, the Business Unit GM for Southeast Asia and Taiwan and will collaborate closely with regional leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy for Haleon Taiwan
- Lead the development of the commercial plan for the purposes of the regular budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure that strategic marketing and sales plans are developed in line with corporate planning processes
- Build a portfolio strategy that delivers a sustainable high growth retail business for Haleon and maximizes the opportunities for Haleon on the tender/institutional market
- Be able to deal with the complexity of working with a government JV partner, or at the very least have dealt with government or public policy.
- Monitor Sales and Marketing working standards to identify the potential areas for improvement and plan effective remedial actions
- Control the use of budgets and the other company resources to ensure compliance with the planned activities, monitoring the timeliness and reliability of all relevant reports
- Attract, identify and develop diverse talent and invest in organisational capability for the future
- Demonstrate strong social, legal and ethical responsibility across all stakeholder groups
- Drive compliance and the internal control framework, identifying, managing and escalating risks, when appropriate
- Manage Commercial Operations activities, including monthly performance reviews, dashboard management, and above country marketing activities

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in a senior leadership role in multiple markets
- Demonstrated sales and marketing experience working with multiple brands
- Ability to drive long and short-term growth
- Experience driving business and people transformation
- 5 or more years of experience in FMCG industry
- Project management experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA)
- Knowledge of finance, supply and regulatory processes
- Experience in working cross-functionally to develop innovative strategies and implementation plans
- Knowledge of commercial business, including sound business analytics, business case development and commercial modeling
- Change management leadership experience with a focus on capability building and embedding new skills and knowledge in the business
- Has previously worked with a government JV partner or dealt with government or public policy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in marketing management including advertising, brand development, new product launches, budget setting, P&L Management, Business Development
- Market Access experience
