The Role

 

Our store teams are the heart of Leap and we are looking for an innovative and engaging General Manager for our Grown Brilliance boutique in Woodfield Mall. This leader will build dynamic store teams to create luxurious and personalized shopping experiences for customers, driving sales, and maintaining the store's reputation as a destination for luxury/fine jewelry.

About the Brand:

Grown Brilliance was founded by Akshie (pronounced: AHK-SHE) Jhaveri, a third-generation jeweler. Inspired by her family’s legacy, Akshie launched a collection and then a company whose mission was to create a transparent and value-driven approach to jewelry with 100% conflict-free lab-grown diamonds always of the highest quality that never compromise on style or value.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Build and nurture a clienteling culture through influential leadership
  • Client relationship management: develop and maintain long term relationships with clients ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty
  • Identify innovative ways to grow your business through delivering elevated and individualized client experiences
  • Embrace and leverage client feedback to enhance every in-store experience to an unforgettable event
  • Proficiency in recruiting and retaining top talent for all positions in store (e.g. Sales Associates and Sales Supervisors)
  • Possess performance management capabilities to hold team members accountable to store and individual performance goals
  • Ensure store standards are maintained by delegating tasks amongst cleanliness, visual merchandising and operational tasks (inventory management, tagging, receiving + processing shipment)
  • Execute fruitful in store activations in partnership with the brand
  • Embrace learning and leveraging new technologies, systems, apps, etc.; experience with Shopify, Endear, Slack, Google Office is a plus
  • Ability to operate independently and work effectively under pressure, support completion of store opening/closing procedures
  • Strategically build out team schedule while managing payroll effectively

Measures of Success:

  • Drive client development activities to cultivate new and existing clients
    • Clienteling: Client Outreach, Networking NPS (net promoter score)
  • Employee Retention Rate: Ability to hire, develop, and promote team members
  • Drive sales goals through Key Performance Indicators: Conversion, Average Order Value (AOV) and Units Per Transaction (UPT)
  • Accomplish tasks + meet deadlines effectively

Position Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18+ years of age
  • 2+ years of fine jewelry experience; certification in diamonds preferred
  • 3+ years of direct management experience
  • 4+ years in retail or luxury retail or relevant client-related experience (e.g., hospitality)
  • Keep an agile work schedule; including days, nights, weekends, holidays 
  • Maintain an active floor presence, including standing and walking for extended periods of time and comfortability using a ladder and lifting a maximum of 50lbs

Salary: 70k
